Message From the President of AADCMC

Welcome to the African American Democratic Club of Montgomery County, Maryland (AADC) Website.

Founded in 2000, the AADC is dedicated to advancing the goals of the Democratic Party while assuring that the concerns of the African American community are considered, represented and reflected in the formulation of policies, programs and plans.

By increasing political participation within the African American community, we seek to give voice to the interests of all who are often unheard in the corridors of power. As active participants operating at every level of the democratic process— informed voters, citizen activists, dedicated elected officials—we seek to bring about meaningful inclusion in every component of the body politic. We invite you to join us.

Purpose of the African American Democratic Club

The African American Democratic Club shall promote the Party's objectives by:

Increasing active and informed participation of African Americans in Montgomery County in all aspects of the political process
Encouraging African Americans to seek active roles in elected and appointive positions:
Serving as a base for communication between African American Club members and the various organizational units in the Democratic Party of Montgomery County.
Collaborating with affiliated organizations to implement programs and initiatives of the Party that impact African Americans;
Providing a forum for advocating and educating on matters that may impact African Americans.
Developing youth members to become informed, active supporters of and participants in the political process.
